Katie Morris began her love of dance at
a small studio in Orange City at the age of 4. When she turned 8
she moved to Deltona Dance Academy and studied under Shelleh Harkom
for 9 years where she studied the dance styles of jazz, hip hop,
tap, lyrical, ballet, and acro. During her years at Deltona Dance
Academy she attended many dance conventions and competitions getting
to take classes from dancers like Michael Minery, Doug Caldwell, Dee
Caspry, and Mia Michaels. In high school, Katie was a member of the
Deltona High Elite Dance Team where, in 2003, they took home the
National Kick Championship.
After graduating high school, Katie started working with
Universal Dance Association where she had the pleasure of working
with junior high and high school teams as well as collegiate teams
all across the country. This traveling job opened many
opportunities within the company. In 2007, Katie was invited to be
filmed for a instructional summer material DVD that was sold at UDA
dance camps across the country.
In 2008, Katie graduated from UCF with a B.S.B.A. in
Finance. While pursuing her degree, she was a member and a captain
for the nationally-ranked KnightMoves Dance Team.
